Analysis & Planning
We begin each project with a deep dive analysis in order to fully understand the needs and expectations of the project. We do this by:
- Identifying stakeholders and sources of information that should influence the project’s vision
- Determining purpose, mission and audience
- Determining goals and expected outcomes
- Aligning the project’s vision with requirements and resources
- Identifying needs for project development
- Anticipating needs for integration into existing infrastructure and culture
- Anticipating needs for scaling, sustaining, and maintaining
Design & Development
We leverage as much existing technology and resources as possible while designing and developing custom user experiences. The foundation is to show and deliver information and knowledge to motivate and inform in engaging and memorable ways. You are the subject matter expert and we will work with you to ensure that we create meaningful user experiences that meet or exceed your vision and your goals.
User Experience (UX) is web design. They aren’t and shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. As such, we focus on consistency and clarity so users know what to expect, where to find things, and what commonly used terms mean in your context. Users derive meaning from structure and need guidance within experiences so using familiar elements and structure cue users to what they should focus on currently and locate that focus within the overall structure.
Evaluation, Training & Implementation
EDS uses rigorous evaluation criteria to ensure quality. With a combined 75+ years of experience with online environments and technology, we know what high quality technology and service includes. The expertise to ensure quality outcomes during project development is a core competency of ours.
In the final phase of development, EDS combines the process of testing for quality assurance with training to certify the final implementation. We recommend at least two pilot and training participants to ensure that there are no challenges and to address poor user experience issues that may come to light with the test run. In addition to leading remote training sessions with key personnel, we will provide overview training and integration documentation for each user role.
Provide Consultant Expertise
We understand that once a project launches that doesn’t mean it is over. Software will need to be updated, functionality will need to be expanded, content will need to be updated and new hires will need to be trained. We enter into each relationship preparing to empower clients and provide consulting and support when necessary.
