Design is more than just an aesthetic. Great design starts with a message that encourages action and leads the viewer to a destination.

Cumming Website Designer and Freelance Designer Chip Evans started Evans Design Studio in 2004 as a portfolio website and it has since grown into a full-service website design, website development, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), digital marketing, and graphic design boutique with a rich history of award winning design.

Every project should be treated like a portfolio piece.

I’m just like every small business owner in that I can’t – and shouldn’t – do it all myself. Over the years I’ve put together a network of professionals that work with me to specifically empower clients and take their vision farther than they imagined. Whether it is a small, custom print project meant to drive engagement or an enterprise-level software development project, we’ll come together to dream and work to make your project as great as it can be.

Keep the “Big Picture” in Mind

One of the areas I pride myself in is being able to take a client’s vision and deliver products that exceed their expectations. One way I do this is by keeping the big picture in mind.

For example, a website is more than just a static brochure. It is your public face, best sales person, a useful guide to current information, data collector and your main marketing tool. However, while your website may be your main marketing tool it doesn’t exist in a vacuum, it isn’t intended for everyone, and you aren’t your target audience.

  • Your website should be designed to serve your target audience
  • Your target audience is made up of different personas
  • Your site should seek to serve those personas

Simple, honest messages live longer.

A logo is more than a meaningless group of squiggles and color. Your logo is the embodiment of your company culture and vision. Your logo should have meaning and depth and seek to connect with your audience in a memorable and honest way. That being said, a logo shouldn’t try to do too much or be too much or say too much. Great logos are ambassadors for the brand.
